Accessibility Fund

On 19 September 2019, the Act on Ensuring Accessibility for Persons with Special Needs entered into force, under which a new financial instrument was created, the resources of which may be used to ensure or improve accessibility, including in particular public buildings, multi-family housing and collective housing.
BGK grants preferential loans for the removal of architectural barriers, which is intended to ensure that buildings are accessible to people with special needs, including people with disabilities, parents with children and the elderly. Investments will contribute to ensuring that people with permanent or temporary mobility or perception limitations can participate in social and public life through freer access to goods and services. Financing granted by BGK may be partially redeemed or combined with a subsidy from PFRON funds.
